EUROPEAN ACCESSIBILITY FRAMEWORK

Accessibility starts with people.
And has a European framework.

The European Accessibility Act — Directive (EU) 2019/882 — sets accessibility requirements for certain products and services, including e-commerce for consumers.

Requirements for covered services apply from 28 June 2025. Exceptions exist, including for microenterprises providing services.

Applicability depends on the service and enterprise. AccesClair is an independent service, not affiliated with EU institutions.

FROM BARRIER TO FIX

Less noise.
More clarity.

An automated result is a starting point. The report separates reconfirmed findings from signals that require further investigation.

02

We check and document

We use automated checks and reconfirm findings. Each issue states its method, evidence and verification limits; we do not describe every result as a manual test.

03

You receive an action plan

Received an email with a PDF preview?

The five-page preview presents a focused finding. It is not a full audit and does not prove that the entire store is inaccessible. We can discuss the issue and audit scope before any payment.

Does the report certify my store?

No. It is a technical deliverable to help identify and address barriers. It is not certification, legal advice or a guarantee that every issue has been found.

What does the law say?

Directive (EU) 2019/882 sets accessibility requirements for covered services, including e-commerce, applicable from 28 June 2025. Romania’s relevant framework is Law No. 232/2022. Exceptions exist, including for microenterprises providing services, alongside conditions concerning fundamental alteration or disproportionate burden. Applicability requires a contextual assessment; not every store is automatically covered, and a technical finding alone does not establish a legal breach.
